Tavistock Development Co. Announces New Mixed-Use Development in Lakewood Ranch’s CORE Project
Tavistock Development Company, a diversified real estate firm based in Orlando, recently announced a new 40-acre, mixed-use development within the Collaboration Opportunities for Research and Exploration (CORE) project at Lakewood Ranch.
Located at the epicenter of Lakewood Ranch, at the northeast corner of State Road 70 and Lakewood Ranch Blvd., The Green at Lakewood Ranch is a 525,000-square-foot project that will feature more than two dozen businesses within 150,000 square feet of retail, office and restaurant spaces and 304 luxury residences. Site work is scheduled to begin in spring of 2017, with a projected opening in the first quarter of 2018.

The Green at Lakewood Ranch will feature contemporary architecture and two major anchors – a fitness facility and Earth Fare, a natural foods grocer based in Asheville, N.C. This will mark Earth Fare’s entry into the Bradenton-Sarasota market with this 23,500-square-foot location.
It is expected that the remaining retail space will be occupied by a variety of high quality shops and restaurants ranging from iconic national brands to local concepts. Tavistock has an option to purchase adjacent land that is planned for office and medical uses.
